Travelling to Upper Lodge Farm by road or rail
Upper Lodge is set in a beautiful rural countryside location approximately 15 minutes drive from Reading town centre, also close to Thatcham, Newbury and Basingstoke town centres.
Upper Lodge Farm is located on Rectory Road mid way between the crossroads at Padworth and the T-junction with Reading Rd.
By Car
- Upper lodge is easily accessed from Junction 12 M4.
- Travel west along the A4 Bath road towards Newbury, for approximately 4 miles eventually turning left into Padworth Lane.
- Continue for approximately 1.5 miles along a country lane, crossing one railway bridge and two small bridges over the canal and river and then straight over the crossroads into Rectory Road.
- Rectory Road bends sharply to the right, Upper Lodge Farm is situated on the right at the next left hand bend.
- This is a blind bend so we suggest that you continue for 100 yards and turn. Upper Lodge will then be on your left and can be safely accessed.
By Bus
- Upon request, transport to and from Upper Lodge may be arranged prior to arrival. Subject to terms and conditions.
By Rail
- Reading Station is 25 minutes by fast train from Central London (Paddington Station).
- Padworth Common is only a few miles from each of the local village train stations, these being Aldermaston, Mortimer and Theale.
- Taxi services are avaliable from Reading train station.
- National Express from Heathrow/Gatwick Airports terminal at Calcot, Reading, Junction 12 M4.
- Rail-Air transfer from Heathrow airport to Reading Train Station.
